2016 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships

The Australian Swimming Championships are held in March, April or May each year and bring together the best swimmers from around the Country.

The event is currently known as the Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships

Each year, major Australian teams are selected from the Championships.
These teams include swimmers to compete at the:

Australia has produced many quality world-class swimmers over the years including Dawn Fraser, Murray Rose, Kieran Perkins, Michael Klim, Susie O’Neill, Grant Hackett and Ian Thorpe.

Swimmers have to qualify for the Australian Championships each year and the qualifying times are pretty fast. Swimmers compete in their own State Championships and selected other meets to get and improve their qualifying times.
